About this event
Alaska Avalanche School will run a one-day Avalanche Rescue course at Eaglecrest Ski Area for people who travel in snowy mountain terrain. The course combines online pre-course work with in-person field instruction in companion rescue, multiple-burial scenarios, complex scenarios and organized-rescue concepts. The current event listing requires participants to be at least 16 and able to drive. Registration is scheduled to open September 7, 2026 at 9:00 AM Alaska time for $200, with sales ending December 18 at 1:00 PM unless the 12-place course fills first.
