Friday Night Skate — Santa Monica / Venice — January 15, 2027

About this event

Friday Night Skate — Santa Monica / Venice is a weekly Friday-night urban inline and roller-skating session along the Santa Monica and Venice beachfront, organized through the Southern California Urban Inline/Roller Skating Meetup group. The organizer says the skate has run for more than 20 years and happens every Friday at 9:00 PM. The exact January 15, 2027 occurrence meets in front of Santa Monica City Hall (City of Santa Monica, 1685 Main Street); participants are told to look for the people on skates by City Hall, and Meetup publishes a 9:00–11:00 PM PST event window. The organizer describes an intermediate session covering roughly 10–15 miles and encourages skaters to bring friends. Attendance is free and the exact Meetup occurrence showed an open Attend action and two attendees at verification, but that live count is not a turnout forecast. No capacity, RSVP cutoff, waitlist, walk-up rule, age minimum, guardian requirement or event waiver is published. The exact route, pace, elevation, regroup stops, turnaround point and return-to-start guarantee are not posted. Skate supplies are available through the affiliated Knight Skate shop, and more discussion happens in the organizer Facebook group. Recheck the exact occurrence before traveling for weather, route or cancellation updates. The page still carries the organizer wording "Don't forget a mask"; TrickBook preserves that wording without representing it as a current legal requirement. Because this is a moving night route on public streets and beach paths, bring suitable visibility and protective equipment. No event-specific helmet, lighting, accessibility service, bag storage, livestream, competition format, judging, prizes or results is announced.
