About this event

OC Parks' intermediate ride links Irvine Ranch Open Space with Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve on a demanding docent-led loop. The group starts at the gated Hicks Haul Road / Jeffrey staging area, warms up on the paved Hicks Haul climb, follows Loma Ridge east, drops singletrack toward Box Springs, pauses at The Sinks, then returns via Limestone Ridge, Augustine and Loma Ridge before coasting back to the start. The live registration detail rates the outing level 4: 16 miles with about 2,200 feet of elevation change in three and a half hours. Riders must be at least 18, arrive with their own trail-ready mountain bike and safety supplies, and be prepared for sustained climbing, singletrack descents and natural hazards. Advance online registration is mandatory, no walk-ups are accepted, and the organizer showed 5 of 15 spaces left during October 1 verification. Limestone Canyon is scheduled-access land; exact final directions are released after registration.
