About this event
PSIA-AASI Eastern runs a two-day Alpine Level I Prep clinic at the National Winter Activity Center (Winter4Kids) in Vernon, NJ, for aspiring alpine ski instructors preparing for their Level 1 Assessment. Required for Level 1 candidates who are not yet affiliated with a resort — and helpful for those with limited access to formal training — the course uses the Learning Connection Model to build an understanding of the Fundamentals (technical, teaching, and people skills) in the beginner/novice zone. Through on-hill practice, peer-to-peer activities, teaching scenarios, and group discussions, participants become familiar with the format, assessment criteria, and activities of the Level 1 Assessment. Plan to be on snow both days and be able to ski safely on all green and blue terrain. The clinic awards 12 CEUs and requires current PSIA-AASI membership. Event code 327DK0111A; cost $230.00.
