Skateboarding Competition — December — Beginner is a co-ed beginner bracket at Carmel Valley Skate Park in San Diego on Saturday, December 19, 2026. The current City of San Diego / ACTIVE listing schedules the bracket from 10:00 to 10:30 AM PST and says competitors will be judged in Best Trick and a game of SKATE. Andrew Barbosa is the listed instructor, and the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department is the organizer.

The exact ACTIVEkids page currently displays Register Now and routes entrants to the City recreation registration system, where an account sign-in or account creation is required. The public page says the price is shown during registration; it does not publish a numeric fee, participant capacity, registration deadline, waitlist, refund/transfer terms specific to this activity, walk-up entry, same-day signup, division seeding, prize package, judging rubric, tie-break process or results plan. Registration is therefore marked open online, with the price and remaining inventory to be confirmed inside checkout. Do not assume on-site entry is available.

The listing categorizes the activity as Adult and Co-Ed but does not expose a numeric age range before sign-in. The word “Beginner” describes the bracket level; it does not by itself establish a first-time-rider standard. City skatepark rules require a helmet plus elbow and knee pads for anyone entering to skate. Only skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades and inline skates are permitted at the facility; bicycles, scooters and motorized devices are prohibited. Spectators must stay outside the fenced skating area.

Carmel Valley Skate Park is a 13,500-square-foot City facility with a concrete bowl, challenge course, rails, stairs, banks, ledges, night lighting, restrooms, shade and sitting/observation areas. The City lists daily public hours from 10:00 AM to dusk, but event operations control the competition window. The City also says Route 89 reaches the park on weekdays only, so that venue note does not provide a Saturday transit option for this event. No event-specific parking reservation, shuttle, livestream, weather threshold or cancellation notice is published. The park is subject to closure in rainy conditions; recheck the exact activity and City venue pages before travel.

The exact listing labels the bracket Beginner, Co-Ed and Activity Age Category: Adult. No numeric age range, ability test, residency rule or membership requirement is visible before account sign-in.

Future beginner bracket; no results or podiums exist yet, and no live-scoring or results URL is published.
