DIG LIFE's sixth annual Skate & Shoe Turn Up brings a free youth-and-family community day to Lincoln Park in downtown Long Beach on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The nonprofit organizer and Councilwoman Mary Zendejas describe free shoes, skateboard and deck raffles, bike raffles, haircuts, student nail services, clothing, food, art, games, wellness resources and mentorship. The event takes place beside Lincoln Park's municipal skatepark, but the current pages do not announce a contest, demo, lesson plan, judging format or guaranteed open skate session; treat this as a skate-centered youth outreach and giveaway event, not a competition. Admission is free and general-admission registration is open.
