The United States Adaptive Recreation Center (USARC) brings its annual Ski-a-thon fundraiser to Bear Mountain on Saturday, March 6, 2027. The current first-party resort page invites both skiers and snowboarders for a 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Pacific event supporting USARC adaptive recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities. USARC calls this its largest fundraiser of the year. Participant check-in begins outside the USARC schoolhouse at 8:00 AM. Registration will be entirely online, but the resort currently says it is not yet open and will open sometime in February 2027; no exact launch time, deadline, capacity or waitlist is published. Each participant must raise at least $250 before event day. The announced participant package includes a full-day Bear Mountain lift ticket with line-cutting privileges, a lunch voucher, event T-shirt and access to the adaptive-equipment demonstration tent. The current pages do not state an age minimum, guardian process, ability restriction, lift-access cutoff, pledge-remittance method, prize tiers, waiver workflow, refund/transfer terms or same-day entry. Bear Mountain and USARC share 43101 Goldmine Drive. USARC is roughly 100 mountain-road miles from central Los Angeles and is included because this adaptive snow-sports fundraiser requires a purpose-built mountain venue unavailable in the core city. General resort parking varies from free to about $20-$30 on busy weekends and is not stated as included, while accessible parking is free with qualifying plates/placard or permit plus the state-issued disabled ID card requested by the resort. Parking is first come, first served; accessible guests are advised to arrive by 7:30 AM, and the USARC building is about 100 yards from the base lot. Carry properly fitted chains or cables on every winter trip, check the actual Caltrans route and mountain conditions before departure, and follow resort safety, lift and approved-equipment rules. The exact-event pages do not publish a weather cancellation, postponement, refund, livestream, results or replay plan.

Fundraising ski-and-snowboard day rather than a timed or judged competition. Participants raise at least $250 and ride at Bear Mountain. No lap count, vertical challenge, scoring, leaderboard, prize tiers or results plan is published.
