Competition is professional: through the first nine events the regular-season fields number 36 men and 24 women, and Lower Trestles is the last chance to climb the rankings — only the top 24 men and top 16 women advance to the two postseason showdowns in Abu Dhabi and Portugal before a season-ending Pipe Masters decides the World Titles.
