Skate LA — Venice Beach Edition is a free, social 2–3 mile rollerblading and roller-skating tour through the Venice Beach waterfront on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Organizer Ken Straughn asks participants to meet at 4:30 PM by the LAPD substation in Windward Plaza, 1 Windward Avenue, then allows roughly 15–20 minutes for late arrivals before the group chooses its exact activities. The published route concept starts on Ocean Front Walk, heads north toward Venice Park, turns south toward Venice Pier, rolls to the end of the pier, returns to Windward Plaza, and may add the Venice Beach Skate Park, Roller Skate Dance Plaza and Boardwalk. The organizer describes the route as a light, easy, level outing rather than an endurance session and explicitly welcomes both Rollerblades and roller skates. The exact Eventbrite listing and checkout currently offer free General Admission registration, with sales ending October 31; Eventbrite structured ticket metadata encodes a 3:00 PM PDT sales cutoff, so reserve before traveling. No numeric capacity, waitlist, walk-up guarantee, age minimum, guardian rule, waiver, refund/transfer rule or skate-rental reservation is published. Participants are asked to bring enough water for the route and snacks. The listing does not require a helmet, pads or lights, but suitable protective gear and sun/visibility protection are prudent for a moving public-path tour. The organizer may alter the route and stops by group agreement, so the sequence is a plan rather than a guaranteed minute-by-minute itinerary. Eventbrite publishes a 4:30–6:00 PM PDT event window; its body copy says "PST," but Los Angeles remains on daylight time until the following morning, so TrickBook uses America/Los_Angeles and PDT. Recheck the exact listing before departure for ticket inventory, weather, route or cancellation changes.
