Whittier Narrows BMX pairs its Thursday local race with the track’s current advanced race clinic on November 5, 2026. The exact USA BMX event record is ACTIVE and lists on-site registration from 5:00 to 7:00 PM PST, with racing at 7:00 PM. Its description explicitly identifies “Thursday Night Racing and Advanced Rider Clinic.” The track’s current first-party Instagram flyer names Factory SE rider and former pro Courtney Tomei as the Thursday clinic coach, sets the clinic for 5:00–7:00 PM, and describes it for intermediate and expert riders working on pumping, gate starts, body position, bike control, race strategy and passing.

The current first-party flyer publishes a $30 clinic fee plus a $15 race fee. The official track-hours page independently lists Thursday practice/racing at $15, a 5:00–7:00 PM sign-up/practice window and racing around 7:10 PM; the exact November 5 event page is newer and controls with a 7:00 PM race time. No advance checkout is linked. Register on site during the published window and contact the track before travel if you need a clinic reservation, temporary membership, loaner equipment or clarification on payment. Do not treat missing online preregistration as a closed event.

All riders practicing or racing on the sanctioned track need a USA BMX membership or an eligible track-issued temporary membership and signed release. The track’s current membership page offers a one-day novice trial acquired at the track, a $40 60-day membership, $40 Balance Bike/Stacyc membership and $80 full membership, but the exact occurrence does not promise that every temporary category can enter every class or earn points. Minors need a parent or legal guardian to sign required membership/waiver documents. General USA BMX classes are based on age, gender, proficiency and wheel size; exact November 5 motos, class combinations, awards and results timing depend on entries.

Whittier Narrows BMX sits inside the Los Angeles County recreation area in South El Monte. The sanctioned track requires a safe bike with working brakes and no pegs, an approved helmet, long pants, a long-sleeve shirt and closed-toe shoes; first-time loaner availability should be confirmed. The balance-bike program covers ages 2–5, uses manufactured no-pedal bikes with tires no larger than 12 inches and requires riders to navigate the track unassisted. The exact event does not publish a capacity, waitlist, refund or transfer policy, clinic reservation cutoff, spectator fee, parking fee, accessibility process, food service, weather threshold, makeup date, finish time, livestream or replay. Check @whittiernarrowsbmx or call the track on event day because the outdoor dirt surface and operations can change with weather or maintenance.
