About this event

Snowbasin Resort hosts the world premiere of Will Ski 4 Food, a feature documentary about Gary Nate, the ski cinematographer who spent nearly 40 years behind the camera for Warren Miller, and the athletes who shaped skiing alongside him. The film centers on a tight-knit group of Ogden skiers who helped invent freestyle skiing in the early 1970s, then follows Gary's camera into the rise of extreme and all-mountain skiing, told through interviews with three of the sport's most recognized names — Wayne Wong, Scott Schmidt, and Tom Jungst. The premiere is a full evening at the Snowbasin base area: gates open at 6:00 PM and the event runs to 10:00 PM, with a pre-show festival of live music, food, and drinks; a chance to mingle with the ski pioneers featured in the film and the filmmakers; ski-gear giveaways and raffles throughout the night (including a 2026/2027 Snowbasin Premier Pass for one winner); and an outdoor film premiere on the lawn where guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Tickets are required and limited; no separate registration is required.
