About this event

Tour de Dugo returns for a second year as a self-supported checkpoint cycling challenge from Walt's Bar in Eagle Rock into the Verdugo Mountains. Check-in opens at 8:30 AM PST on Saturday, November 7; the current event page lists a 9:00 AM race start, a finish back at Walt's and awards at 2:00 PM. The current event poster instead prints 9:05 AM, so riders should be fully ready by 9:00 and follow the organizer's final email. Expect roughly 40–50 miles and 6,000–8,000 feet of climbing across a rider-chosen mix of road, fire road and singletrack. Checkpoints and the organizer's mellowest example route will be emailed November 4; riders may collect checkpoints in any order and choose any human-powered route. Gravel bikes or hardtail/XC mountain bikes are recommended. The event is free but registration is mandatory and capped at 75 total riders. At verification, Movemint showed 54 sign-ups and 21 shared spots remaining across WTFNB and Men's categories. The live registration cards say registration closes at 12:01 AM PST November 4, while the body copy says 5:00 PM that day; use the earlier deadline. This is a self-sufficient ride: bring all water, fuel, flat repair and tools you need. Cadence provides start-line nutrition, and registered riders receive a Walt's voucher for one hot dog and one Hamm's beer after the race. Alcohol eligibility and any substitute are not published. Inclement weather may alter or cancel the ride to protect riders and trails; registered riders will be notified. Exact checkpoints, course, aid availability, timing method, awards structure, age minimum, waiver/guardian terms, parking, bike storage and accessibility arrangements are not published.
