About this event

South Bay Boardriders Club and Queen of the South Bay host a free Women & Girls Surf Clinic at 10th Street in Manhattan Beach on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST. The exact current flyer and organizer caption advertise practice heats, surfing feedback and a chance to meet other women and girls in the South Bay surf community. Entry is free, all ages are welcome, and the event is open only to participants who can already surf independently. Advance signup uses the exact Women & Girls Surf Clinic Smartwaiver linked from the organizer’s current Instagram bio and printed on the flyer. The form is active and accepts an adult participant or one or more minors. Every required acknowledgment and the participant or parent/legal-guardian signature must be completed. The organizer does not publish a numeric capacity, closing deadline, waitlist, walk-up policy or confirmation turnaround, so do not assume same-day entry; submit the waiver before travel and retain the confirmation. Participants must bring their own surfboard and be strong, competent swimmers capable of unassisted open-ocean swimming. This is not a beginner surf lesson or rescue-supported water program. The waiver says instruction and guidance are from shore only, the organizer is not acting as a lifeguard, and no organizer rescue service, emergency response, medical care or health/accident insurance is provided. Participants or guardians remain responsible for judging ocean conditions and deciding whether to enter, remain in or leave the water. The waiver also covers inherent risks including drowning, rip currents, shorebreak, collisions, wipeouts, marine life, changing weather and delayed emergency response. The exact beach check-in point, practice-heat rotation, instructor roster, board-type limits, wetsuit or leash requirement, water-safety staffing, restroom meeting point and cancellation procedure are not published. Los Angeles County lists daylight lifeguards, surfing, swimming, restrooms, showers, stairs, ramp-to-beach access, an access mat and a beach wheelchair for Manhattan Beach generally; it does not confirm that every item is located at the 10th Street setup. The city operates metered downtown and pier lots, and posted rates and limits control. Beach Cities Transit 109 serves Manhattan Beach Pier and Commuter Express 438 stops at Manhattan Avenue and 10th Street. The forecast checked shortly before publication was mostly sunny and warm during the clinic, but marine and surf conditions remain dynamic and the organizer has not announced a weather or swell threshold.
