Daniel Franck (born December 9, 1974 in Gjerdrum) is a Norwegian halfpipe snowboarder who won the silver medal in men's halfpipe at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics with 82.40 points, behind Gian Simmen and ahead of Ross Powers, and later competed at the 2002 and 2006 Games. He was the first snowboarder to win gold at ESPN's Winter X Games at Snow Summit, California in 1997, took halfpipe silver at the 2001 FIS World Championships, and amassed 16 World Cup wins and over 40 international podiums before retiring from competition in 2008. Beyond contests, he filmed video parts with Standard Films (including the TB series) and appeared in movies such as 'Upping The Ante' and 'The Melt Down Project'.
