Iikka Bäckström is a Finnish pro snowboarder who, per Whitelines, honed 'ninja-like mastery' and polished rail skills in the ice-hard parks of Finland before establishing himself as one of snowboarding's most progressive riders, joining the Nixon team in 2010 and riding a DC pro model board (the Iikka Pro MLF, 2010/11). He evolved into a backcountry standout, filming in British Columbia alongside Devun Walsh and appearing as an invited rider in X Games Real Backcountry 2014. In 2025 he features in K2 Snowboarding's team film 'Tumbleweed' (directed by Seamus Foster, filmed in Idaho, Utah and BC), whose roster spells his name 'Iikka Backstrom'.
