Josh Dirksen is an American snowboarder from Oregon, based at Mt. Bachelor, who started as a halfpipe competitor in the early 1990s, rode the X Games, and filmed with crews from Mack Dawg and Kingpin to Robot Food ('Lame', 'Afterlame'), sponsored by Salomon and Patagonia. He appeared in Jeremy Jones' Teton Gravity Research film 'Further' (2012), an experience he credits with reigniting his passion for backcountry exploration. He founded the Dirksen Derby, a hand-dug parallel banked slalom first held at Mt. Bachelor on December 1, 2007, which began as a fundraiser for injured snowboarder Tyler Eklund and has donated over $320,000 to its community across 17+ editions.
