Mathieu Crépel (born October 26, 1984 in Tarbes, Hautes-Pyrénées) is a French snowboarder who became double world champion at the 2007 FIS World Championships in Arosa, winning gold in both halfpipe and big air, after taking the halfpipe Crystal Globe in 2005 as the first French halfpipe world title winner; he also took halfpipe bronze at the 2009 Worlds and rode for France at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics. He was the first ever TTR World Snowboard Tour champion in 2006 and landed the first switch backside 1260 in competition at the 2007 big air. He now rides for Nidecker (on the Nidecker Alpha in the brand's 'Instinct Diaries' series), focusing on freeride and surf-crossover projects and environmental work with the Water Family charity.
