Noah Salasnek (1970-2017) was an American professional snowboarder from the Lake Tahoe area who, after a professional vert skateboarding career with H-Street and Life Skateboards, became one of the key figures who brought skateboard style to snowboarding in the 1990s. Riding for Sims Snowboards, which produced his iconic pro model with skate-truck graphics on the base, he blended freestyle creativity — spins, butters and early rail riding — with progressive big-mountain riding in Standard Films' TB series (including the Alaskan 'Super Spines' first descent in TB5) and Mack Dawg Productions films. He died on April 20, 2017, at age 47 after a battle with cancer.
