Wolfgang 'Wolle' Nyvelt is an Austrian snowboarder from Mayrhofen who has 'been flying the flag for the Zillertal since the beginning,' a member of Die Ästhetiker and one of Europe's original style masters with a long list of video parts, including a full part in Absinthe Films' 20th feature 'Isle of Snow' (2019). In 2006 he co-founded Äsmo with Steve Gruber, championing the binding-free 'no bindings, no problem' powsurfing movement that drew on surf and skate culture to transform powder riding. He also brings decades of board-shaping expertise to Salomon's Hillside Project, building and testing powder prototypes with riders like Josh Dirksen and Victor Daviet.
