About this event
Angel Fire Resort opens its 2026-27 ski and snowboard season on Friday, December 11, from 9 AM to 4 PM Mountain Time, weather and conditions permitting. The day is a genuine winter kickoff because the new Angel Express—New Mexico’s first high-speed six-person chairlift—makes its debut this season, increasing the mountain to eight lifts and giving skiers and snowboarders faster access to the terrain. There is no separate event registration: guests need a valid date-specific lift ticket or eligible season pass for on-mountain access. Exact terrain, lift lineup, snow conditions, pass pricing, ceremonies, giveaways, parking capacity, and day-of schedule beyond operating hours are not yet published.
