Bank Breakers Skate Competition at ThriftCon LA 2026

About this event

Bank Breakers brings a live indoor skateboarding competition to ThriftCon LA inside ComplexCon at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, 2026. ThriftCon says it built a skatepark for a full competition, while Complex describes a pro-am on a stair set followed by the Bin Gap, with $10,000 in cash prizes. The current announced skate guests include Steve Caballero, Sal Barbier, Kareem Campbell, Geoff Rowley and Jason Dill. The activation is inside ThriftCon in Kentia Hall, so a valid ComplexCon convention or eligible bundle ticket is required; there is no separate Bank Breakers ticket. Official convention hours are 11:00 AM-7:00 PM both days, but the organizer has not published the competition heat times, athlete list, judging format, prize split or daily order. Spectators should use the ComplexCon site or app for last-minute schedule changes. The competition is described as pro-am, but no public athlete entry form, qualification route, age policy, waiver or on-site signup has been announced, so do not assume walk-up entry. LACC normally prohibits skateboards and other wheeled conveyances outside authorized programming; spectators should not bring a board unless ThriftCon or ComplexCon issues explicit participant instructions. The venue is cashless, outside food is restricted, personal water bottles are allowed, and construction affects Pico Boulevard and nearby traffic.
