About this event

Big Bear Mountain Resort's named 2026/27 Holiday Peak Period brings 16 consecutive days of skiing and snowboarding to Snow Valley, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain from December 19, 2026 through January 3, 2027. The official guide publishes an overall 8:30 AM-8:30 PM daily window, while each mountain's actual lifts, terrain and activity hours remain condition-dependent. Snow Valley and Snow Summit promote Night Sessions from 3:00-8:30 PM on select holiday dates; a valid Night Session ticket or eligible 2026/27 pass is required, and Bear Mountain does not offer night operations. Current ticket guidance lists Snow Valley-only adult day access at roughly $89-$109, three-mountain adult day access at roughly $105-$179, adult Night Session tickets at $59-$109, and a $19 adult night add-on to an eligible day ticket, with dynamic pricing and sellouts possible. Children age 4 and under and adults age 80+ can redeem free lift tickets at an operating ticket window with physical ID and no advance reservation. Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, BBMR Anytime Pass and Snow Valley Anytime Pass have no holiday blackout, while BBMR Midweek and Ikon Session products carry date-specific restrictions. The holiday program also includes condition-dependent terrain parks, daily tubing products, free Biggie the Bear meet-and-greets at posted appearance times, lessons, rentals, dining and the separately listed Snow Summit New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade. Paid base-area parking is scheduled for every date in this window; free remote lots and resort shuttles serve Snow Summit and Bear Mountain according to demand, but Snow Valley has no offsite overflow. Mountain Transit Route 5 is the published public connection between Snow Valley and Big Bear Lake. This is a core Inland Empire mountain event roughly 75-100 miles from central Los Angeles and is directly marketed to Southern California skiers and snowboarders.
