About this event
Shedhorn Skimo returns to Big Sky Resort on Saturday, February 27, 2027. The current first-party page offers three routes: a 25K course (about 16 miles and 8,000 vertical feet) with four climbs, four 45-degree-plus descents, two Lone Peak summits and the Big Couloir; an 11K course (about 7 miles and 4,500 vertical feet) with two climbs plus Lone Peak, Big Couloir and Headwaters terrain; and an 8K course (about 5 miles and 3,500 vertical feet) designed as a first skimo-race option with a skin track, bootpack and black-diamond descent. Registration is not yet open; Big Sky says to check back early next winter. Start times, fees, capacity and final race-day logistics are not yet announced.
