About this event
Exposure 2026 is the 15th annual free, family-friendly festival and skateboarding competition at Encinitas Community Park (Poods), running Friday through Sunday, November 6-8, 2026. The event celebrates the progression of women’s skateboarding and provides an inclusive competition/community space for women, trans and nonbinary skaters. Proceeds support programs and resources for survivors of domestic violence. Competition spans street, bowl and vert, with Intermediate, Advanced and Open/Pro divisions where offered. Friday carries Street Intermediate and Advanced qualifiers; Saturday is Bowl day; Sunday includes Street finals, Vert divisions, Street Open/Pro, Best Trick, highest-air awards and a domestic-violence-awareness presentation. The public festival also includes a vendor village, games and prizes, food trucks, and learn-to-skate clinics for all ages. Admission to watch is free. Competitor registration is open through The Boardr and costs $100 per division. Within any one discipline, a rider may enter only one ability division. Everyone skating must complete both The Boardr registration waiver and the separate Exposure Skate waiver; a parent or guardian must sign for minors. Online preregistration is encouraged, while the published schedule also lists on-site registration Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and from 8:15 AM Saturday and Sunday. Missing online inventory therefore must not be interpreted as closed entry. The Boardr has published the digital riders meeting and the Monday-through-Friday Bowl practice heat schedule. Bowl practice runs in eight assigned one-hour heats from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and is not mandatory, but the practice document says competitors must check in with The Boardr and take a headshot with Joanne on Thursday November 5 or Friday November 6. Riders should verify their assigned heat and any updates in the live document before travel. Exposure Skate and X Games announced free Open/Pro Bowl, Vert and Street livestream coverage on the X Games YouTube channel. The announcement does not yet publish exact stream start times or a day-specific watch URL, so use the official X Games streams page and @exposureskate for the final links. Exposure is also recruiting volunteers for November 6-8. Roles include Exposure-booth support, game-zone supervisors, learn-to-skate instructors and additional event support; contact support@exposureskate.org. Volunteer participation is separate from competitor registration and does not imply free competitor entry. Confirmed organizer posts name Joey Yarbrough for Open/Pro Bowl and Vert, Soarer (@__soarer22._) for Open/Pro Vert, and Rogue Day (@rogue.day) for Open/Pro Street. Woodward returns as Longest Grind/Slide and Learn-to-Skate sponsor. The event is outdoors, and no event-specific rain, heat, wind, postponement, refund, spectator-capacity or reserved-viewing policy is published.
