The 2026 California State Games held its one-day BMX Racing competition at San Diego BMX inside Kearny Mesa Community Park on Wednesday, July 15. Rider check-in and day-of entry ran from 5:00 to 6:15 PM Pacific, with racing starting at 6:30 PM. The program covered 20-inch Class, 24-inch Cruiser, and balance-bike groups under USA BMX rules, using random gates. It was open to USA BMX members; the organizer advertised $25 per class for both online and day-of entry, an $80 full membership option on site, a $0 one-day event registration option, and a required California State Games electronic waiver. The completed record preserves those historical terms without presenting a stale signup action. Official USA BMX results contain 17 class groups and 62 result rows; 15 groups have ranked podiums, while the two balance-bike groups are published without rank numbers and are not misrepresented as ordered finishes. San Diego is outside core Los Angeles but remains regionally relevant: this purpose-built track is roughly 120 miles from central LA and the statewide amateur championship was open to Southern California USA BMX riders rather than being a private local session.

California State Games specified USA BMX rules and random gates. Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded in each age division, level, and class. USA BMX published 15 ranked class tables plus two balance-bike groups whose riders appear without rank numbers; the balance-bike rows are intentionally not converted into podium order.

Open to USA BMX members. The organizer published standard USA BMX age and proficiency classes for 20-inch Class and 24-inch Cruiser, plus on-site full-membership and free one-day event-registration options. The final results also contain age 1-2 and age 3 Balance Bike groups.

Gold, silver, and bronze California State Games medals were awarded by age division, level, and class. No cash purse or merchandise prize was published.
