About this event

Far West Masters lists a four-day Masters race camp at Mammoth Mountain from Tuesday through Friday, December 1-4, 2026. The current first-party schedule identifies giant slalom as the planned discipline and labels final plans TBA. That means the dates, venue and GS focus are official, while daily start and finish times, base lodge, training hill, coaches, ability standard, participant cap, registration path, fee, deadline, lift access, lodging, meals, video analysis, equipment support and cancellation terms are not yet published. Missing online preregistration is not treated as a closure: camp registration status is simply not announced, and there is no verified on-site signup, invitation or qualification rule yet. The current Mammoth Race Department page describes its Masters program as serious alpine race training with gate drills, training courses, video analysis, race preparation, dynamic progressions, drills and free skiing, but that page still shows the prior 2025 camp dates; those program details are context, not a confirmed 2026 itinerary. Likewise, a prior-season camp was described as open to the public, but current 2026 eligibility remains TBA. The camp leads directly into the separate Dec. 5-6 Far West Masters Mammoth GS weekend, making it a useful preseason preparation block for Southern California adult racers. Far West Masters' current schedule says both Far West and U.S. Ski & Snowboard memberships are required to race, and its current GS safety guidance requires a FIS-certified race helmet marked 'Conform to FIS Specifications RH 2013,' bans helmet cameras and fluorinated wax, and recommends discipline-appropriate equipment. Camp-specific membership, waiver and equipment rules must still be confirmed when the packet appears. Weather and snow conditions can change the schedule, so participants should recheck the live schedule, Mammoth operations and organizer communications before travel. The retained image is a visually reviewed current first-party schedule capture with the exact Dec. 1-4 Mammoth Masters race camp row, GS discipline and final-plans-TBA warning visible.

Current 2026 camp eligibility is TBA. The still-live prior-season Mammoth description called the comparable camp open to the public and geared toward serious alpine racers, but that language is not treated as a confirmed 2026 rule.
