About this event

Big Bear Mountain Resort switches on the lights for the first Night Session of the 2026/27 winter season on Saturday, December 12, 2026 from 3:00 to 8:30 PM at Snow Valley and Snow Summit. Skiers and snowboarders can ride separate illuminated beginner- and intermediate-friendly trail networks at the two resorts; Bear Mountain does not offer Night Sessions. Snow Valley's published opening-night terrain includes Chairs 1, 2 and 13 plus Thunder Mountain, Wine Rock, Eagle Flats, East Bowl, Big Bowl, Little Bowl, The Chute, Mambo Alley and The EDGE. Snow Summit publishes Chairs 1, 2 and 8 until 8:30 PM, Chairs 3 and 4 until 6:30 PM, its carpet until 5:00 PM, and Bear Bottom Beginner Area, Miracle Mile, Summit Run and Westridge Park. Operations and terrain remain condition-dependent. Current advance prices are $59/$51/$30 for adult/senior-or-teen/child Snow Valley access and $109/$95/$55 for the Snow Summit product, which also includes same-evening Snow Valley access. Adding night access to a same-date day ticket costs $19/$15/$10. Ages 4 and under and 80+ ride free through a ticket-window redemption with physical ID; eligible 26/27 pass holders receive included access. The exact event page says online sales start November 1 while the current product CTA says November 2, so inventory is honestly marked not yet open until the live checkout exposes December 12. Tickets are date-specific, assigned by participant name and non-transferable. The organizer-selected 2400x1350 page hero showing a young skier and snowboarder on a lit trail was visually reviewed and copied unchanged to TrickBook-controlled storage. Both San Bernardino County resorts are core Inland Empire mountain destinations for Los Angeles-area riders.
