Golden State South Interscholastic Cycling League brings its third 2026 mountain-bike festival to Midland School in Los Olivos on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4. Saturday is the community and course-preparation day: volunteer setup begins at 9:00 AM, festival rides/games/activities run in the late morning and afternoon, the GRiT girls-and-women program meets at its tent, registered riders and coaches pre-ride the course, and the day closes with a community potluck picnic. Sunday is race day for registered grades 5–12 student-athletes, with girls’ high-school waves at 9:00 AM, boys’ high-school waves from 10:30 AM, girls’ middle-school waves from noon, boys’ middle-school waves from 1:00 PM and awards at 2:30 PM. The official guide describes a rustic Midland campus course across farm roads, doubletrack and flowy oak-country singletrack; the narrative calls it about 4.3 miles with roughly 230 feet of climbing while the current wave table labels 2.50-mile laps, so riders should rely on the organizer’s final map, GPX and race-day briefing. Event registration is included for 2026 Golden State South season registrants and closes Tuesday, September 29 at 11:59 PM PDT; race plates are collected or replaced at the registration tent, and one plate is used for the full season. Primitive Friday/Saturday camping is sold separately at $50 per vehicle for one or both nights. Spectators and families have designated start, finish and fan zones; no separate spectator ticket is published. Midland School is roughly 130 road miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, a regional-valid Southern California youth-racing venue serving teams from Santa Maria through San Diego.

Southern and Central California student-athletes in grades 5–12, including homeschool, charter and private-school students, who are registered with Golden State South for the 2026 season. A student cannot participate in more than one NICA league in the same calendar year. The race course is closed to anyone without a student, coach or league-staff plate during official pre-ride.
