About this event
Kirkwood Mountain Resort hosts an IFSA-sanctioned junior big-mountain freeride competition January 23-24, 2027 as stop #3 of the Tahoe Junior Freeride Series (TJFS), organized by Tahoe Freeride. Junior skiers and snowboarders in U15 and U19 divisions are judged on a single steep, natural Sierra venue for line choice, control, fluidity, technique, and style. Results count toward the 2027 IFSA Junior Ranking and Junior Seeding List and feed the FWT-IFSA Qualifier global and 2028 World Championships qualifying seeding lists. This is a competitor event: athletes register through the Liveheats platform during a set window and must hold current IFSA membership and regional dues; it is not a public sign-up-on-the-day recreational race.
