About this event

The International Surfing Association brings the 11th World Para Surfing Championship to DSRT Surf in Palm Desert from November 19–22, 2026. It will be the first ISA World Championship held in a surf lagoon, using DSRT Surf’s 5.5-acre Wavegarden Cove venue to provide repeatable competition conditions. ISA expects approximately 140 athletes representing 24 national teams across nine Para Surfing Sport Classes, with men’s and women’s world titles contested. DSRT Surf has announced that spectators will be welcomed in person, and ISA has announced a global livestream on isasurf.org. Athlete entry is through national-federation nomination and ISA classification—not public same-day signup. The detailed daily heat schedule, spectator admission process, prices, parking plan, and event-specific accessibility procedures had not yet been published as of September 4, 2026.
