About this event
June Mountain Ski Area kicks off its 2026-27 winter season on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Ride the J1 chair up to the June Meadows Chalet, then join the annual first-chair banner breakthrough at J2 with mascot Bucky and friends, followed by a Winter Toast at the Chalet. Kids ski and ride free all season at June. Skiing and snowboarding require a valid lift ticket or pass; opening-day operations are weather and conditions dependent and subject to change.
