Kids Ski/Snowboard Free Week — Big Bear 2027
About this event
Big Bear Mountain Resort is giving every child age 12 or younger a free lift ticket on each eligible day from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21, 2027. The offer covers skiing or snowboarding at Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain, bringing a full week of family snow access to Southern California’s principal lift-served winter-sports destination. No adult lift-ticket purchase is required, but an adult must be present to supervise; the adult needs mountain access only if they plan to ski or snowboard. Families can add a $0 child ticket online beginning November 2, 2026 or redeem at any resort ticket window during operating hours. Either way, the child and supervising adult must visit a ticket window on the chosen day to show proof of age and print the named, non-transferable physical lift card. The promotion does not include equipment rentals, lessons, reserved parking, food, or adult mountain access. Upper-lot parking may require a separate paid reservation on select March dates; Snow Summit and Bear Mountain route guests without one to free remote lots and shuttles, while Snow Valley has no remote overflow and may deny parking access. Resort and terrain operations remain weather-, snow-, safety-, and staffing-dependent. Big Bear is approximately 100 miles east of central Los Angeles in the San Bernardino Mountains and is regionally relevant because comparable lift-served skiing and snowboarding are unavailable in the urban LA core.
