About this event
SDMBA's eighth annual Mount Laguna Trail Fest is a three-day mountain-bike gathering in the pine and oak forest around El Prado Group Campground. The weekend combines guided rides and independent trail exploration with bike demos, a vendor village, optional small-group skills clinics, Noble Canyon shuttles, group camping, a Friday outdoor movie, Saturday barbecue dinner, live music, and community festivities. The published 2026 CAMTB/Trailforks festival route is a 23.9-mile intermediate loop with about 2,570 feet of climbing through the Mount Laguna trail network; it is useful planning context, while individual guided rides and clinic prerequisites will be assigned separately on site. Every person attending needs an advance Festival Pass, including non-riders: adult pricing moves through launch, early-bird, and regular tiers ($130-$155 for SDMBA members and $160-$180 for non-members), ages 6-17 are $35, and children 5 and under are free but must still be included in the family registration. There is no walk-up registration and no separate day-pass discount. Group camping for Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday dinner are included. Limited add-ons include $20 Ride Pine Flow clinics, 14-rider Noble Canyon shuttle departures, reserved adjacent campsites, a current event shirt, and a mandatory $50 vehicle pass for anyone parking inside El Prado. The festival is a fundraiser for trail maintenance, new riding opportunities, stewardship, education, and advocacy in partnership with the Cleveland National Forest. Mount Laguna is roughly 145 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles and is included as a regional LA-relevant destination because this concentrated alpine trail, shuttle, skills, demo, and camping program needs terrain and facilities unavailable in the urban core.
At a glance
Open to mountain bikers and non-riding family/community attendees who hold a Festival Pass. Guided rides cover multiple levels; participants choose suitable activities on site. Noble Canyon is explicitly advanced and requires an appropriate bike, equipment, fitness, and technical ability. Under-18 participants must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
