About this event

The Open Season Rail Jam is Mountain High's season-opening freestyle snowboard contest, held in the resort's Playground terrain park at its West Resort in Wrightwood, California. The 4th annual edition ran on Saturday, December 13, 2025, under sunny skies on a freshly built jib course, with Kona Big Wave as title sponsor and more than $10,000 in cash and prizes on the line. It is a jam-format rail contest open to men and women ages 16 and over plus a combined 15-and-under youth division; helmets are required. Entry was a $10 fee and required a valid lift ticket or season pass to compete, with on-mountain registration inside Big Pines Lodge from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Each competitor took one intro run before a 45-minute open jam and one outro run, with overall impression of the jam and individual runs setting the standings; the top five in each division advanced to a two-run final. In the men's division Levi Kaseroff won first place and the $1,000 cash prize with a clean, technical, creative finals performance, ahead of Pavel Anishchanka in second and Brandon Weijland in third. Demiraee won the open women's division on consistency, and Tyler Durkins took the 15-and-under youth division. Mountain High is Southern California's closest major winter resort — roughly an hour and a half from Los Angeles and Orange County in the San Gabriel Mountains — which makes its season-opening rail jam directly relevant to LA-area riders. This is a completed event: registration is closed and results are final. Mountain High has announced a 5th annual edition for the following season, but a 2026-27 date has not yet been published.
