About this event
MTC Surf is hosting a free, supported surf day in the Ventura area for eligible participants ages 2–25 from foster, adoptive and kinship families, plus youth affected by trafficking. The Saturday, November 21 session runs from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM Pacific time. MTC plans 20 participant places and supplies surfboards, wetsuits, water-safety guidance, instruction, lunch and support from trained staff and volunteers. Families register through one parent-or-guardian form, add every child they want to attend, enter each child’s age on the event date and swim ability, read the current two-page liability waiver, choose whether to accept or decline the separate photo/video release, sign, review and submit. Registration is open and free; if there is not enough room for every child in a family submission, all children in that submission join the waitlist together. The exact beach and meeting point are intentionally kept private to protect participating families. Confirmed families receive the location, parking, arrival instructions and anything they need to bring in a private event update. No public spectator program, walk-up registration, public registration deadline, cancellation/refund terms or event-specific accessibility arrangement is published. The organizer says dates may change with weather and ocean conditions, so registered families should rely on their private update and contact Elle Miller when a clarification affects attendance.
