The National Scholastic Surfing Association returns to C Street / Surfers Point in Ventura for the fifth and sixth contests of its 2026-27 Gold Coast Conference Explorer season on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28, 2027. NSSA's live official schedule identifies C Street as the venue, and the organizer's shop currently exposes available Event #5 and #6 variants across all 11 divisions: Men's, Juniors, Boys, Menehuene, Super Groms, Women's, Girls, Super Girls, Longboard, Women's Longboard and Super Seniors. Most current selectors display $100 per event; Super Groms and Super Girls display $95, Super Seniors displays $120, and the Boys selector unusually lists $100 for Event #5 but $120 for Event #6. A current annual NSSA membership is required separately. The ordinary entry deadline is Tuesday, February 23 at 5:00 PM Pacific. NSSA says late entry costs more and is accepted only if space remains. Two organizer product labels conflict with the official schedule: Longboard calls both events Ventura Harbor instead of C Street, and Super Seniors labels Event #6 as March 28 instead of February 28. The official live schedule and the other division selectors agree on C Street and February 27-28; Longboard and Super Seniors entrants should confirm with NSSA before paying. Division age is calculated as of January 1, 2027. Competitors must physically surf six of eight Gold Coast events in their division to qualify for the West Coast Championships, subject to NSSA's published make-up rules. Public-beach spectating is free. First call, check-in, heat draws, division order, contest-bank position, finish and awards timing remain unpublished and may change with surf, weather or operations.
At a glance
Open to current NSSA members in a listed Explorer division; it is not described as invitation-only. Age is calculated as of January 1, 2027. The program includes all-ages adult divisions, youth divisions from 10-and-under upward, longboard divisions and Super Seniors 45-and-up.
