Grand Targhee closes out 2026 with its free New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade and fireworks show. Skiers and riders ages 6+ can sign up in person at the Activity Center beginning December 14 at 9:00 AM; space is limited and registration closes at noon on December 31. The kids' parade uses glow sticks on Little Bighorn, the adult parade uses road flares, and fireworks follow at 6:15 PM. Spectating from the Plaza or Dreamcatcher base is free and open to the public.

Skiers and riders ages 6+. The kids' parade is ages 6-12; the adult parade is ages 13+. A parent may accompany a child under 10, or a child not comfortable skiing Little Bighorn alone, but the parent must also sign up.

Grand Targhee will host a four-day IFSA 2-star junior regional freeride window February 4-7, 2027. The resort says children and teenagers from the Teton region will compete on Reliable. Dates and venue are confirmed, while registration, lift tickets, the competition schedule, divisions, capacity, and spectator details remain to be announced.

Grand Targhee has confirmed an IFSA 3-star junior national freeride competition window for March 3-7, 2027. Young athletes from across the western United States are expected to compete over three competition days on Peaked Mountain. The final day-by-day schedule, registration, lift-ticket terms, athlete field, spectator access, results, and stream details are still pending.
