Barry McGee opens “Another Round” at Jeffrey Deitch’s 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard gallery in Los Angeles on Friday, October 30, 2026. The public opening reception runs 6:00–8:00 PM PDT, and the exhibition remains on view through January 30, 2027. Jeffrey Deitch’s current visitor page explicitly says no ticket or RSVP is required. The gallery’s same-day Instagram post DfF2VTikhBw confirms the reception time and address, while Thrasher’s event desk carries the exact opening flyer. This is a skate-culture art event rather than a skate session or contest: the venue does not provide riding space, registration, divisions, judging, prizes or sanctioned competition. McGee’s visual language grew from San Francisco street culture, including skateboarding, surfing, punk, underground comics and tagging. Jeffrey Deitch describes the show as his first solo exhibition with McGee in more than twenty years and says McGee worked in the historic former RCA Victor West Coast recording studio with artist friends to build an immersive, collaborative installation. The Los Angeles Times reports that the evolving installation includes work by roughly 200 artists, a miniature 99 Cents Only Store and a makeshift bookstore intended for workshops and music events; those later activations are context only because their dates and entry details are not yet published. For the opening, arrive at 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard, at North Orange Drive—not the gallery’s separate 925 North Orange Drive location, which hosts a different opening at the same time. Jeffrey Deitch lists parking at 953 and 926 North Sycamore Avenue with 90-minute validation. It confirms wheelchair access only for 925 North Orange Drive, so accessibility at the 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard space is not confirmed; contact the gallery at +1 323-925-3000 or la@deitch.com before travel if accommodations matter. Regular exhibition hours are published by Gallery Platform LA as Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, but the organizer’s current info page is still in installation mode before tonight’s opening. Recheck the official event and visitor pages for post-opening hours, closure dates, capacity or line-management changes. The current feature image is Jeffrey Deitch’s exact 1500×1748 “Another Round” promotional artwork, visually reviewed to confirm the October 30 reception, 6–8 PM time, 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard location and October 30–January 30 run.

Walk-through gallery opening and exhibition; no competition, judging, classes or scoring.
