Barry McGee: Another Round — Opening Reception 2026

About this event

Barry McGee: Another Round opens at Jeffrey Deitch's 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard gallery on Friday, October 30. The reception launches an exhibition running through January 30, 2027. It is a non-riding action-sports-culture event: McGee's practice grew from San Francisco's graffiti, skateboarding and surfing subcultures, and the gallery says the installation develops collaboratively with invited artist friends while embracing Los Angeles underground culture. The current exhibition page and GalleryPlatform.LA list the opening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM PDT, while the exact official event artwork says 6:00 to 9:00 PM; this record uses the two-source 6:00-8:00 PM window and preserves the conflict so attendees can verify before travel. No RSVP, ticket checkout or admission price is published. Capacity, walk-up/re-entry policy, age or guardian rules, ID requirements, accessibility accommodations, food/beverage policy and coat, board or bag storage are also unpublished. GalleryPlatform.LA lists regular hours Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM-6:00 PM, plus parking at 953 N Sycamore Avenue and 926 N Sycamore Avenue with 90-minute validation; confirm opening-night availability and validation terms directly with the gallery. The exact 7000 Santa Monica location's step-free entry and restroom details are not published. No riding, contest, athlete registration, livestream or results are announced.
