About this event
Quick n’ Dirty MTB continues its eight-race 2027 Summer Series at Lake Hodges Boat Ramp on Thursday, May 6. Check-in opens at 4:00 PM, the separate kids race starts at 5:00 PM, and the main race starts at 6:00 PM. Adult categories span beginner, sport, semi-pro and expert fields plus 55–64, 65+, 200+ Clydesdale, single-speed, drop-bar and enduro classes; School Boy/Girl categories cover ages 12–15, and the kids program offers beginner, sport and expert classes for riders 11 and younger. Published single-race pricing is $40 adult, $35 School Boy/Girl and $20 kids, with adult and School Boy/Girl prices increasing $5 on race day; the organizer says advertised prices include fees. Registration is not marked closed: Quick n’ Dirty requires the main field to register online through RunSignup and says online registration closes five minutes before racing, but it has not linked an exact Race #2 checkout or published an opening date. The kids section specifically says kids registration will be available online and onsite, so walk-up entry is confirmed only for the kids race. Helmets are mandatory; headphones are prohibited; riders must start in class, follow the marked course, complete assigned laps and cross the finish with their bike. Podiums follow each race, but wave times, course map and finish time remain TBA. Lake Hodges is an LA-regional exception roughly 110 road miles south of central Los Angeles: its permitted cross-country trail-race venue and youth-to-expert field provide rider value unavailable in the urban core.
At a glance
Open category structure ranges from kids age 11 and under through School Boy/Girl ages 12–15 and adult classes starting at age 16. Select a category matching age, gender, skill and bicycle setup; riders must stay in the same class for series-overall eligibility.
