Kirkwood Mountain Resort hosts an IFSA-sanctioned junior 3* big-mountain freeride competition February 26-28, 2027, organized by Tahoe Freeride. The 3* is a higher-tier junior national-level event: U15 and U19 ski and snowboard athletes are judged over a multi-day window on a demanding natural Sierra venue, with results counting toward the 2027 IFSA Junior Ranking and Junior Seeding List and feeding the FWT-IFSA Qualifier global and 2028 World Championships qualifying seeding lists. It is a competitor event: athletes register through Liveheats during a set window and must hold current IFSA membership and regional dues.

Tahoe Freeride (Tahoe Junior Freeride Series)

IFSA junior athletes (ski and snowboard) in U15 and U19 divisions with current 2027 IFSA membership and regional dues. Coach, judge, and technical director roles are also registered.
