Mammoth Mountain's 26/27 Opening Day starts Friday, November 13, 2026, with a 7:30 AM pre-lift kickoff at Main Lodge before the resort's published 8:30 AM-4:00 PM ski-day window. Complimentary coffee and cocoa are planned at 7:30 AM, and the first 100 people in the lift line are slated to receive a 26/27 Mammoth beanie while supplies last. At 8:30 AM, Woolly leads the first chair and banner breakthrough at Broadway Express. Opening Day airbrush tees run near Chair 1 from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM, with limited-edition long-sleeve shirts available for purchase while supplies last. DJ Sendit plays on the Tusks sundeck from 10:30 AM-1:30 PM, and the 26/27 season toast is scheduled there at 11:00 AM with a small complimentary beer or sparkling cider. The celebration has no separate advertised fee or RSVP; skiing or snowboarding requires a valid lift ticket, Ikon Pass, Quad Pack+, or another accepted access product. Mammoth's current official offer promotes up to 35% lodging savings and up to 50% lift-ticket savings for Opening Weekend, while a September organizer announcement lists Quad Pack+ at $125 per ski/ride day. Opening terrain, lift availability, product inventory, road conditions, and the program can change with mountain conditions, so check the live Mountain Report and official event page before travel. Mammoth Lakes is outside the normal Los Angeles-area radius, but this is retained under the inventory's narrow Mammoth exception as California's marquee destination-resort season opener with strong Southern California skier and snowboarder relevance.

Mammoth Mountain

The public resort opening is open to guests with valid access products. Participants must use approved skiing or snowboarding equipment and follow lift, trail, closure, and Responsibility Code rules.

This is a resort season opener and community celebration, not a competition. No scoring, rankings, results, stream, or replay is expected or announced.

Mammoth Mountain Kids Ski Free Week gives children age 12 and under up to seven single-day lift tickets at $0 from December 5 through December 11, 2026. No adult lift-ticket purchase is required. The linked live Mammoth booking calendar was configured for Lift Ticket, Child (5–12), and 1 Day during verification and showed $0 on every date from December 5 through 11, followed by $85 on December 12. Tickets are issued as individual daily products rather than one multi-day ticket, with a limit of one à la carte ticket per eligible child per day. Families can alternatively book a $199 child package that combines the free all-day lift ticket with a ski or snowboard lesson priced at $174 and rentals priced at $25. The package flow requires at least one adult in the availability search but explicitly says adult products are not required for purchase; families then choose ski or snowboard rentals and a lesson at Main Lodge or Canyon Lodge and should decline duplicate add-ons. The promotion also includes 20% off eligible children’s goggles, helmets, gloves, mittens, balaclavas, and socks at Mammoth Sports and McCoy Sports in The Village. Mammoth’s event calendar anchors the week from December 5 at 8:30 AM through December 11 at 4:00 PM; exact daily lift hours, terrain, lesson times, lesson levels, rental specifications, remaining inventory, package capacity, check-in steps, waiver and guardian mechanics are not separately published and remain subject to current mountain operations. The exact current organizer hero—a helmeted child snowboarding with an adult on Mammoth terrain—was visually reviewed at full page scale and copied unchanged to TrickBook-controlled storage.

Official promotion: children age 12 and under. The linked calendar labels its child selector as ages 5–12; the public promotion page does not publish a lower age bound or a separate age-4-and-under booking path.

Upcoming noncompetitive youth lift-access promotion; results, standings, podiums, livestream and replay do not apply.
