About this event
Snow Summit's signature 62nd annual New Year's Eve celebration returns on December 31, 2026, with the resort's headline Torchlight Parade: over 200 skilled skiers and snowboarders descend the mountain in the dark carrying torches, turning the slope into a river of light before a New Year's (snow)ball drop. Free evening festivities in the base area include live entertainment and a concert, with the parade viewing area open to the public at no charge. Guests can also ski and ride all day from 8:30 AM (a valid lift ticket or season pass is required and is separate from the free evening event), with lessons, rentals, and on-mountain dining available.
