About this event

California Mountain Biking Coalition brings Southern California's trail community together October 23-25, 2026 for a free three-day summit in Los Angeles County. Mount Wilson Bicycling Association leads the host team with Lowelifes Respectable Citizens' Club, Concerned Off-Road Bicyclists and CAMTB. The current program opens Friday with an optional no-drop Angeles National Forest frontcountry ride from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, followed by a public trail-community mixer from 5:30-7:30 PM at The Cub House in San Marino. Saturday's 8:00 AM-8:00 PM main event at Bandido Group Campground combines project discussion, advocacy and stewardship planning, workshops, a community dinner and a backcountry campout. Sunday closes with guided Angeles National Forest group rides; the visible agenda says 9:00 AM-3:00 PM and recommends intermediate-or-higher riders, while the active ticket description says 9:00 AM-12:30 PM, so attendees should confirm the final return time. Eventbrite currently exposes five free ticket types—for the Friday ride, Friday community event, Saturday workshops, Sunday ride and one camping pass per sleeping vehicle—with all five available, an overall capacity of 50, a ten-ticket per-order maximum, no displayed remaining count and no waitlist. Registration is required to hold a place; this is not proof that walk-up entry will be accepted. Bandido is a primitive 5,840-foot Forest Service group campground with vault toilets and food lockers but no water, hookups or showers, so campers must bring all drinking, cooking, cleaning and fire-suppression water and store food for bears. The organizer allows dogs at the backcountry camp when they are prepared for the harsh mountain environment, but publishes no ride-specific dog rule. Exact Friday ride meeting point and route, Sunday route choices, camp gate/check-in instructions, meals beyond the community-dinner mention, minor/guardian rules, bike or e-bike standards, waiver process, accessibility accommodations and weather cancellation procedure remain unpublished. The current 1880x940 Eventbrite hero is exact event art naming Los Angeles and October 23-25 over a San Gabriel Mountains photograph; it was visually reviewed and copied unchanged to TrickBook-controlled storage.
