Quick n’ Dirty MTB brings E-Dirty Cross back to Lake Hodges for its fifth edition on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The e-mountain-bike race runs alongside the separate Dirty 30 and uses the Lake Hodges Boat Ramp as its check-in, pre-ride and start hub. Check-in and course access begin at 7:30 AM, racing starts at 9:00 AM, and awards follow as soon as racing concludes; the organizer has not yet published the course, wave order, lap count, finish cutoff or end time. The announced field includes open men’s and women’s divisions for Class 1 and Class 3 pedal-assist e-bikes. Factory-installed motors and permanent class labels are required, throttles are prohibited, Class 1 assistance must stop at 20 mph and Class 3 assistance at 28 mph. Staff may randomly inspect bikes before racing, will inspect the top three after racing, and may GPS-test the top five on a flat one-sixteenth-mile segment. The current organizer page quotes $60 for Expert, Sport and Beginner entries and $50 for School Boy/Girl entries, with a $10 increase on December 4. It says online registration will remain available until race start, but no current 2026 checkout link is exposed; the old BikeReg destination resolves to a completed 2022 event and is intentionally not presented as active. Registration is therefore marked not yet open rather than closed. The event is a regional Los Angeles-area exception: Lake Hodges is roughly 110 road miles south of central Los Angeles and provides a specialized permitted e-MTB race format and trail venue not available in the urban core. The land manager’s standing public-trail policy normally permits Class 1 and 2 e-bikes but prohibits Class 3, while the organizer explicitly announces Class 3 race divisions; because the 2026 course is still TBA, Class 3 riders should obtain organizer confirmation that the final permitted event route and event authorization cover their category before registering or traveling.
