Quick n’ Dirty MTB’s 12th Annual Filthy 50+ returns to the San Pasqual Staging Area on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, 2026. The community-focused endurance event offers a timed 52.2-mile route with 3,195 feet of climbing, a 30-mile out-and-back, and a one-mile kids course. Adult starts are 8:00 AM for the 50+ and 8:30 AM for both 30-mile groups; the age-11-and-under kids race starts about 8:45 AM. The long route continues from San Dieguito River Park into Black Mountain Park on a reverse-lollipop layout. Pink flags and red arrows mark the course, and four feed-station visits provide hydration, food, Hammer Nutrition products and self-help mechanical supplies. Trails remain open to hikers, equestrians and other riders, so racers must yield and pass courteously. Registration is currently open through BikeSignup at $155 for the 50+, $135 for the adult 30-mile, $105 for the ages 12–15 school division and $20 for the kids race; all four prices rise later. The live registration periods extend into race morning, but only the kids race explicitly advertises onsite signup, and the organizer warns that the event can sell out with waitlists opening when full. Check-in is published as 6:00–7:45 AM by the registration host and 6:00–7:30 AM by the organizer, so arrive by 7:30. Riders receive electronic timing, marked courses, feed support and event swag; the finish-area program includes a Halloween costume party, live entertainment, vendor village, food for purchase and a raffle benefiting San Dieguito River Park Bike Patrol. The expert men’s and women’s 50+ fields each carry a $2,500 purse. No official event end time, total capacity, current spectator gate policy, livestream or 2026 results are published.
At a glance
The 50+ and adult 30-mile events are age 16 and older. The school 30-mile event is ages 12–15. The kids race is ages 11 and under, with Beginner (one year or less riding/racing dirt), Sport (one to two years) and Expert (two-plus years) skill groups for boys and girls. The 50+ includes open, age, single-speed, drop-bar and bodyweight divisions. No license, qualification or invitation requirement is published.
