Quick n’ Dirty MTB’s Dirty 30 has expanded into Dirty 30 XL — Gravel vs MTB and moved its Saturday, December 5, 2026 start/finish to Orfila Vineyards & Winery in Escondido. Riders choose a drop-bar gravel bike or mountain bike, but the two bike types race together in one published category structure to answer which is faster. The one-lap course is now 37 miles through the San Pasqual area, mixing hard-packed gravel, smooth and rolling fire roads, punchy climbs and technical singletrack. The organizer lists approximately 1,709 of elevation gain without printing a unit, names Raptor Ridge and Mule Trail as connecting areas, says lake-view trails may also be included, and links a current Ride with GPS route. Fully stocked aid stations are announced with Hammer Nutrition and other partner supplies, but the organizer has not published station locations, a finish cutoff or a final course-change policy. Registration and course pre-riding open at 7:30 AM PST, and the race starts at 9:00 AM; wave order, finish time and awards timing remain unpublished. Live RunSignup registration is open at an all-fees-included advertised price of $115. The price rises to $125 after December 3 at 11:59 PM PST, online registration is offered through the 9:00 AM start, and registration by November 22 includes an event T-shirt. The ten published categories are ages 14–15, 16–17, 18–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59 and 60+, plus Single Speed 16+ and Big Boned (200+) 16+. Gravel and MTB entries are explicitly combined; separate gender scoring is not stated, even though RunSignup collects gender. Quick n’ Dirty’s standing rules require a helmet, ban headphones and shortcuts, require riders to start in their class and use an unobstructed front RFID number plate for scoring. Registrations are final and nonrefundable. Orfila is the event hub, with vineyard views, food and wine available under the venue’s public operations; alcohol is for guests 21+. The race begins before normal winery hours, and the exact early-entry gate, parking allocation, overflow plan, spectator zones and accessible viewing arrangements are not published. This regional event is about 110 road miles south of central Los Angeles and offers a long mixed-surface course and purpose-built race operation not available in the urban core.
