About this event
Steamboat Resort's Opening Day Celebration kicks off the 2026/27 winter season on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at the Mount Werner base area in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The official resort page lists festivities starting at 7:30am with lifts opening at 8:30am. The first 100 people on the mountain receive a limited-edition Opening Day tee designed by Ohana plus Smartwool socks, and the resort offers complimentary Powder Day donuts, coffee, and mimosas while supplies last. The morning includes the traditional Champagne Powder Snow Bell season countdown and on-mountain prize stashes announced through @SteamboatResort on Instagram. Skiing and riding require a valid Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, Steamboat-specific pass, or lift ticket. Steamboat says a full schedule of events is still coming soon.
