About this event
Big Bear Mountain Resort's Summit School Program is a six-Friday Night Session package for organized Southern California middle- and high-school groups at Snow Summit. The 2027 program meets January 15, 22 and 29 and February 5, 12 and 19, with mountain access from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM each date. The official page highlights beginner-to-intermediate Summit Run and Upper Miracle Mile plus the Westridge terrain park, subject to nightly terrain and lift operations. Schools choose among three group products: Package A includes six lift tickets; Package B includes six lift tickets and six days of equipment rentals; and Package C adds one ski or snowboard lesson on January 15 to the six tickets and six rental days. BBMR does not publish fixed prices because quotes are based on the number of participating students. A school representative requests a quote through the live official form, selecting middle or high school and submitting the school name, contact details, student count and notes. At least 15 students are required. The official page says a spot must be reserved by January 5, 2027 and remains subject to availability; it does not publish capacity, an automatic acceptance rule or a waitlist. Group Sales is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 909-366-4942 or BBMRGroupSales@bbmr.com and a Sales Specialist follows up to finalize the group, price, package, payment and operational instructions. The package is non-refundable, non-transferable and not for resale, and BBMR explicitly says its standard Activity Change and Cancellation Policy does not apply. That means schools should resolve absence, cancellation, weather, rental-size, waiver, chaperone and transportation questions before committing. All on-hill participants need their assigned lift access and skiing or snowboarding equipment; rental gear is included only in Packages B and C. BBMR's current winter waiver, mountain-safety rules and Night Session operating conditions still govern resort use. Snow Summit is a purpose-built lift-served venue around 100 miles east of central Los Angeles in the San Bernardino Mountains, making the program regionally relevant to LA schools even though it sits outside the urban core.
