Team Bear Intro Camp 2027

Team Bear Intro Camp is a two-day freestyle ski and snowboard assessment-and-training camp for prospective youth athletes at Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake. Big Bear Mountain Resort has scheduled the 2027 camp for Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28, with two five-hour coaching days that introduce children to the Team Bear program and give the staff a basis for future team placement. It is the only Team Bear camp open to athletes who have not already been accepted to the program. A parent or guardian starts the process through the live Team Bear application, selects Intro Camp plus snowboard or freeski, identifies the athlete's current ability level, and describes riding and freestyle experience. Applications are reviewed in the order received, and submitting one does not guarantee a camp place or later team membership. Athletes may apply as beginners who know the basics, intermediates comfortable on blue runs, or advanced riders confident on all terrain. Campers must be at least five years old during the March camp and must turn six by December 1, 2027 to be eligible for the subsequent Team Bear season. The current Team Bear page publishes standard weekend training hours of 8:30 AM-2:30 PM with an unsupervised 11:00 AM-noon lunch; those hours align with the advertised five coaching hours per day, although BBMR has not posted a separate Intro Camp call sheet. The camp fee, capacity, acceptance deadline, meeting point, coach assignments and exact terrain plan were not published at verification and are not inferred. The camp price does not include lift access: each athlete needs a valid 2026-27 BBMR season pass or date-specific day lift tickets for both days. Team Bear camp purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable and not for resale, and the resort may change camp operations for weather or mountain conditions.
